Director Kevin Krause has been playing and coaching volleyball in Venice, FL since 1993. In addition to directing, he serves as a coach for Jellys Volleyball. He has been married to Charlene since 1996, and they have two daughters.
Director Charlene Krause has been coaching both indoor and sand volleyball since 2003. Her passion is working with younger athletes, ages 8 to 12, to help them develop their fundamentals and love of the game.
Kasey has extensive experience in athletic administration & coaching, spending time at multiple institutions across the country. He has coached for nationally ranked college teams, with experience in strength & conditioning. As a college athlete, he won a national championship, the NAIA National Baseball Champion of Character, & other regional/conference awards. He earned a B.S. in Marketing and a M.A. in Organizational Leadership from Southeastern University.
Originally from Venice, FL, Courtney is a Jellys Volleyball alumna with 15+ years of experience in the sport. Courtney played indoor and beach volleyball for Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL; she was a team captain for 3 years and was awarded the Sun Conference Champion of Character Award in her tenure. She earned her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Biblical Studies from SEU.
Kim Scott has been coaching volleyball since 2003. In 2011 she started coaching both club and beach volleyball for Jellys Volleyball. Coach Kim has led many winning teams for our club, and her legacy within the Sarasota County community runs deep. Kim is spiritually minded and cares greatly about the character development of her athletes. She has been married to her husband Bryan since 1988 and has 2 adult children.
Heather is a Florida native with a huge passion for volleyball. She loves teaching and coaching the fundamentals of volleyball to our youth. She believes sports help shape our athletes while learning a wonderful sport and having fun. Heather has been on staff with Jellys Volleyball since 2012. She says, "It has been an absolute blessing to be a part of such a wonderful family and organization!"
Coach Jon Meyer became a coach for the Jellys in 2014, coaching both beach and indoor. Jon is organized and energetic. He always comes to practices and tournaments with a plan to make his team successful. He has been married since 2001 and has 2 daughters.
Coach Millie has coached indoor and beach volleyball with Jellys Volleyball since 2014. Her passion is to share the love of Christ and volleyball with her athletes. She desires to see her athletes grow spiritually as well as athletically.
Coach Rob has been with Jellys since 2016. His coaching career started in 1989 while attending college in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he coached for Ottowa Hills High School. Since then, he has played or coached continuously. Coach Rob is the proud father of 4 and husband to his wife Freda for 32 years. Coach Rob loves the game of volleyball and he really enjoys passing his knowledge on to the next generations.
Dawn started coaching for Jellys in 2018, both indoor and beach. She began coaching volleyball at her local YMCA and then coached MS Volleyball for 3 years at SLA. Dawn is a Financial Advisor and business owner by day and volleyball coach by night. She has been married to Brandon Steinert since 2002 and is mother to Kendall and Jett. Jett is an avid lacrosse player and Kendall is playing indoor and sand volleyball for Weber International.
A Sarasota native, Isabella has been playing volleyball since she was 10 years old. She has been with Jellys Volleyball since it began; playing with them for 5 years and returning to coach after she graduated high school. She received an academic and volleyball scholarship from SEU, and is currently enrolled at the University of South Florida.
Coach Farrah has been coaching volleyball since 2006. In 2020, she joined the Jellys Swarm! Farrah attended University of the Southwest on a volleyball scholarship. She is a proud mother of six. Farrah says, "I love teaching the game of life through volleyball. I'm very competitive and love to see growth of these young athletes on and off the court. I've been abundantly blessed to become part of this wonderful organization- where Christ is the center of everything."
Coach Kay has been coaching since 2020. She's been playing the beautiful sport of volleyball since she was 8 years old and was a participant with Jellys Volleyball at its inception in 2012. Coach Kay is also the head volleyball coach at North Port High School.
Coach Elena began playing with Jellys when she was 7 years old. She continued to play indoor and beach volleyball with the club through high school. She's currently enrolled at the University of South Florida studying Marine biology. Elena has been coaching with Jellys since 2020 and says, "More than I enjoy coaching volleyball, I enjoy teaching life lessons and the importance of having a relationship with God to young athletes."
Coach Michelle has been with Jellys Volleyball since 2021. She has been an assistant volleyball coach for North Port High School and Sky Academy in Englewood. She says, "I’m passionate about building strong bonds with my players and take pride in watching them grow and succeed both on and off the court."
Coach Erin has been with Jellys Volleyball since 2022. As a true local, she grew up playing three years of varsity volleyball at Venice High School; her passion and love for the game have never faded. She says, "I love working with players to grow both on and off of the court and mostly in their walk with Jesus. It is a true privilege to represent this club and sport. Go Jellys!"
Coach Dan joined Jellys Volleyball in 2022 as an assistant coach. His focus is teaching the fundamentals of volleyball and helping each player build confidence through the sport, both on and off the court. He has been married for 20 years and has two daughters.
Tom has over 35 years of playing and coaching experience. He has a background in Physical Therapy and is currently a real estate broker and appraiser. He also serves as the Family Ministry Pastor at Mercy Fellowship. “Volleyball has become more than a sport; for me, it is a life-learning, personal growth, and ministry opportunity to share with the players.” Tom, his wife (Stephanie), and their three children feel that youth ministry and volleyball have become passionate family traditions.
Originally from North Carolina, Olivia has played volleyball since high school. This will be her second year coaching with Jellys. She loves to help athletes develop their skills and watch them progress. Above all, she loves to see how God works in each athlete and how each athlete grows in their relationsip with God.
Coach Cara has been with Jellys since 2023. She played both indoor and beach volleyball for 8 years (7 of these with Jellys) prior to starting her coaching career. Cara also coaches for The Gulf Coast Heat during high school and beach season. She loves to watch her athletes grow and progress through each practice. She also enjoys using coaching opportunities to show her love for the sport and for God!
Chris has been playing beach volleyball since he was a toddler. His mother played in a women's league and she would take him to the practices and games. He enjoys teaching and demonstrating the game of volleyball because it is always a game of ever-changing skill and endurance. Coach Chris describes volleyball as "a game of physical chess against your opponents... fast thinking and smart play is crucial."
Coach Tricia is a multi-sport athlete who has experience in volleyball, golf, and swim. She played 4 years of collegiate golf at the University of Michigan, receiving a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She continues to play beach volleyball and still competes in golf and swimming. Her daughter plays beach volleyball in college. She has an acupuncture and Chinese medicine practice in Venice. Tricia hopes to encourages every player to try their best and have fun!
Coach Jenna has been playing volleyball since she was 10 years old. She played her whole club career with Jellys Volleyball in addition to playing beach volleyball at Venice High School. She was eager to come back as a coach once she graduated high school. Jenna is currently attending the University of South Florida majoring in Health Science with hopes of becoming a pediatric PA.
Coach Ashley’s volleyball career started at the age of 10 in CA. She played 4 years of varsity volleyball at Chaminade-Madonna College Prep in Hollywood, FL. Here, she started coaching club volleyball in 2010. Ashley finished her collegiate career at Johnson and Wales University in RI. Coach Ashley took a couple years off from coaching to start raising her 3 children. She's been coaching with the Jellys since 2023!
Coach Alanna has been playing volleyball for over ten years. She played all throughout high school before being recruited to play collegiate volleyball for State College of Florida in Bradenton. Coach Alanna has been with Jellys Volleyball since 2024!
Coach Zoey started playing club volleyball with Jellys when she was 15 and played on her high school team for two years. She began coaching with Jellys in 2024, and she is very excited for the opportunity to impact other volleyball players. She works and is currently in school to become a registered nurse.
MaKayla started playing volleyball as a child. In HS she played club in the USAV league and led her team as a setter to an undefeated season each year. She earned 4 varsity letters and was captain of her HS team. At Northeast Community College, MaKayla played as a RS, OH, DS, and mostly a setter. Her team won the NJCAA regional championship and placed 7th at nationals. Her sophomore year she was chosen as captain and led her team to another regional championship and trip to nationals.
Coach Baylee was born and raised in central Florida, where she also played 4 years of collegiate volleyball at Southeastern University. Previously, she was the Head Volleyball Coach at Geneva Classical Academy in Lakeland, FL. Baylee has also assisted at Thunderbay Volleyball Academy (Brandon, FL) and MidAmerica Volleyball Academy (Kansas City, KS). She has great passion and expertise in the sport that she enjoys sharing with athletes.
Coach Heather discovered her love for volleyball as a freshman in high school, helping her team win two state championships. Heather played college volleyball at Georgia Southwestern University. She has since served as the Assistant Coach for the Naples American High School girls' volleyball team (Naples, Italy) where she gained international coaching experience. Heather is a proud mother of three daughters; she’s committed to making a positive impact on the volleyball community here in FL.
